Advanced Peer Support Training WCPR provides a participant 44 'classroom' hours over a 6 day period (Sunday to Friday). At the retreat the peer support member will work with clients attending the program, participate in staff meetings and attend classes. This training offers the student a unique opportunity to work in a residential trauma recovery program under the supervision of clinicians and experienced peer support members. The WCPR program only serves First Responders.
There is no cost to attend the program and the room and board are free.
The only cost to an agency will be the person’s time and personal transportation.
To attend the program as training the peer will need:
WCPR reserves the right to not accept any individual deemed inappropriate for the course. The client's needs come first. All participants are expected to sign a confidentiality document, acknowledging the participant's requirement to hold confidentiality in the highest regard.
